Nominations for 2018 Whatuni 'University of the Year' announced

Following the collection of 36,000 student reviews and the visit of 100 universities, Whatuni have announced their nominations for the 2018 Student Choice Awards.

The awards, which are influenced and voted for directly by UK, European and international students, are an annual celebration of student satisfaction in higher education. Those nominated for the University of the Year award include Harper Adams University, last years winner, and Loughborough University, who were recent winners of the best student experience by Times Higher Education

The 2018 Natwest Student Living Index has named Hull as the most cost-effective city in the UK for students.


Natwest surveyed 3419 students across 35 of the most popular UK university cities and rated each location on essentials such as groceries, rent and living expenses. Students in Hull have the lowest Student Living Index, meaning money goes a whole lot further in the city, with lower rents on average than anywhere else in England - and the cheapest nights out.
